We are excited to the launch of a new humanities journal for early scholars. Our first edition is slated for release on September 1, 2027 and will feature 10 original articles and essays by advanced high-school and early university scholars. In the tradition of the great essay questions and competitions of the 18th and 19th century, it asks young intellectuals to respond to an imperative question.

What is a Republic?

From Plato to Cicero, Machiavelli to John Adams, scholars have sought to answer this simple question.

We ask scholars to offer new answers to this ancient question. For written submissions, essays and academic essays will be accepts. 10 will be published in full. All submissions will be blind read and peer-reviewed by professors in the field.

We will begin accepting submissions on January 1, 2027.
